I’ve been playing Minecraft for around three years now. I first started the game when I was six and I graduated kindergarten. As a reward, I was given the Nintendo Switch Lite.
We went to Best Buy to purchase three game cards of my choice. I chose Animal Crossing, Minecraft and Super Smash Bros. That’s where my love for Minecraft began.
Before I went to sleep, I would always dream about creating a house in Minecraft. Oak plank stairs, topped off with a long stretch of oak fence as guardrails. But I couldn’t make that thought a reality though.
But I finally had the power…
… TO DO EVERYTHING I WANTED!
World after world, I built and I built. Homes for Allays (Minecraft mobs), secret bases and underwater homes! I was playing at the time when update 1.19 came out.
The idea of the deep dark scared me and I stayed away as far as possible. But the dumbest thing I would ever be afraid of is the ground. Even in creative mode.
I am not joking.
I would always make sky bases and I would only touch the floor if I needed to construct something down there. One time, I fell from one of my masterpieces.
I was in the jungle biome and I landed on a piece of bamboo. Not even close to the ground. The shadow, casted from my build made a never ending darkness. I freaked out and logged out.
As I grew older, my builds became better and more sophisticated. And also, my fear of the ground was being cured slowly. For you guys to see one of my builds, I’ll post a photo down below.
If you notice, there is no ladder leading to the ground. Because I was scared. All I would do is snipe mobs day and night. Very boring.
But then I moved on from Minecraft…
…SIKE!
I came back to it and started building a frenzy. This period I call the Early Modern Era. I built my first full on city, designed to be a server. The name is- well, I didn’t name it. It was a snowy village.
But this was just the beginning. If you think this is good wait until you see the photo in a couple of paragraphs.
But anyways, I spent a lot of time on it. I built a lighthouse as you can see, and a whole ton of stores. It was magnificent.
I showed it to my friends and one of them said it should be on one of those MrBeast “One Dollar Versus One Million Minecraft Builds”.
But he should’ve taken those words back after I cooked up my next project- Bellview City.
It started with one small bank in the middle of a flat world. I didn’t know what it would become.
I started expanding the area around the bank. I added an ice cream shop and a scammer call center. Don’t know why. I shortly added a house and a small warehouse after. That’s just the start.
Weeks after weeks, my city grew in great size. Shops and restaurant bordered the never ending roads. A highway was constructed. I added a Pokémon center and another house. But I never forgot to add easter eggs (secret things).
I put secret tunnels and bases underground and inside of walls. There are now a lot of them and think how fun it would be to play tag in this marvelous city. Finally, the photo.
But I also started playing Minecraft on a computer in addition my Nintendo Switch. I log into my Microsoft account to play the Java Edition. I would play on servers like Hypixel. My parents also booked me Minecraft classes online where I could play online with other children.
At first it was hard for me to use WASD (the keyboard controls) but I eventually got the hang of it. But something that pissed me off was how difficult it was to speed bridge. I had to press left shift and position my player to face the block I’m building from.
